One of Italy’s most glorious dishes!
Our butcher butterflies a pork belly, seasons it with garlic, salt, pepper, citrus zest, fennel and rosemary and wraps and ties it around a butterflied pork loin.
This process is elaborate but results in the perfect ready to cook at home roasted Porchetta.
Sold by the piece.
~Whole Porchetta weighs approx. 12 pounds and serves 14 to 16 people.
~Half Porchetta weighs approx. 6 pounds and serves 7 to 8 people.
Cooking Tips:
Leave the porchetta in a refrigerator for 24 to 48 hours uncovered (helps for extra crispy skin).
Two step cooking process:
1. Cook in a preheated 475 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes (position on lowest oven rack)
2. After 20 to 25 minutes reduce oven temperature to 325 and cook until internal temp of 145 degrees.
*cooking times vary between 3 and 5 hours depending on size of Porchetta.
Let cooked Porchetta rest under loose aluminum foil for at least 20 minutes before slicing,
