A semi-hard cheese from Switzerland made from cow's milk. Produced on both sides of the French and Swiss Alps. The flavor is salty, slightly sweet and nutty. It has a distinctive pleasant, aromatic smell with a creamy texture, similar to Gruyere cheeses, which do not separate even when melted. An excellent melting cheese. Try it on a burger or make a fancy grilled cheese sandwich. Priced per 8oz pack.
